The Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Augustine Okezie has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Umuahia East State Constituency for the belief and steadfastness reposed in him through the period of litigation.
In a statement made available to News Admiral shortly after the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos declared him the authentic winner of the House of Assembly elections for Umuahia East State Constituency, Rt Hon Okezie stated he has remained resolute to running an open door representation, adding that his victory in the appellate Court shall spur impetus and energy to discharge his duties with zest.
He attributed his victory to God and the prayers of Umuahia East State Constituency, assuring his Constituents of delivering quality representation, legislation and higher oversight.
The Abia Number 2 Lawmaker promised not to take for granted the mandate as bestowed on him by Umuahia East State Constituency.
